Mrs. Teresa Stosky

Welcome, all new and returning families to Green Circle Preschool. My name is Teresa Stosky (Mrs. Teresa) and I am thrilled to be the preschool teacher this year.  I am looking forward to providing an enriching classroom environment that will guide each child in achieving their highest potential while having fun playing and discovering new experiences. Our forest-like outdoor area will continue to be a staple of your child’s daily experience at preschool. Children grow up so quickly and preschool is an important step for learning. I am honored to be the mentor for this first learning experience for your children.

I have earned a Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alberta. Throughout the years, I have taught everything from High School beginners Spanish to being a teacher’s assistant in a preschool setting and many different grades and subjects in between. I was also a Canada Girl Guides Guider with a Sparks Unit (ages 5-6) for five years. My teaching qualifications also include teaching First Aid for the Canadian Red Cross. Teaching has always been part of my life as it is one of my many passions.

Our classroom has many toys, puzzles, and centers that will enhance the children’s learning. The centers will change as the themes for the month change. This will provide the children with continuous enriching learning opportunities that address their interests and expand their experiences. Green Circle is based on outdoor learning and exploration. We will be outside daily creating, exploring, climbing and learning from our outdoor environment. My goal is to instill the children’s love of nature and their outdoor environment.

I am looking forward to meeting you all and to begin a new school year. It will be full of new and exciting experiences for all of us.
